Xena writer Katherine Fugate re-wrote the ending of Xena so that Xena and Gabrielle get married. played by Lucy Lawless and Renee O’Connor. and then they kissed.

I love how Gabrielle is such a dork, she cannotttt pull off being evil. she talks about the dark side like it’s a delicious glass of lemonade. gosh, it’s very refreshing! just a little tart! let’s drink some on our picnic tomorrow!
ACTUALLY let’s remember all the times Xena did NOT hold Gabrielle when she cried.
-at the beginning of Bitter Suite when Gabrielle was getting spanked by leaves or whatever… many tears, and Xena was nowhere to be found, and was in fact off plotting the Gab Drag
-To Helicon and Back — when Xena asked Gabrielle if she was okay with leading the Amazons to war, and Gabrielle was at the beginning-stages of tears but resisted them and said she couldn’t really talk to Xena about her feelings because she had to harden herself and make herself ruthless in order to save the Amazons. while this is nobody’s fault, it is a moment when Gabrielle doesn’t allow herself to find comfort in Xena. so heart-breaking.
-at the end of FIN when Gabrielle was watching the sun set and Xena was next to her and then SUDDENLY SHE WAS NOT BECAUSE SHE CHOSE THE REDEMPTION OF 40,000 SOULS TO HOLDING GABRIELLE WHEN SHE CRIED :( :( :(
(no agenda here just highlighting the times when Gabrielle cries and Xena doesn’t hold her are DEVASTATING)

Alti appreciation post! Because frankly I MF loved Alti to no end.
I love the leopard print fur cape thing she has going on in the last one. so unabashedly discomfiting for everyone. Alti = greatest villain of all time, also greatest villain IN MY PANTS if you know what I mean
